Art Club for Adults: Introduction to Mixed Media One Day Workshop

Level: Beginner (or those with a little experience)

Enjoy a whole day of creative play, discovering how to create a beautiful piece of unique mixed media art. Whether you are new to this art form or have a little experience, this workshop is a fun and creative way to develop your artistic skills. Debbie will guide you step by step to support you in making your own piece of individual art to take home at the end of the day.

You will learn how to gather inspiration for your mixed media project by looking at artists' work and found images. The art work is created through building up layers using media and techniques such as paint, drawing, found papers, found objects, maps, fabric, photographs, stenciling, stamping and more. The combinations and possibilities are endless. Mediums such as gesso and modelling paste can also be used for added texture and dimension. Mixed media is a very free and fun type of art, with no rules and no right or wrong, where your imagination can come to the fore. Anything goes!

This is a relaxed and friendly workshop, with all materials and hot drinks provided. Come along, learn some skills, meet new people and have fun. Please bring lunch with you

Aprons are provided, although you may wish to wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
