Art Club for Adults: Adventures in Drawing

Adventures in Drawing: an 8 week further exploratory drawing course with Debbie on Fridays, 2 to 5pm, from, 1st March to 26th April (no session on Good Friday - 29th March).

Level: Intermediate. Suitable for anyone who has completed one of Debbie’s previous drawing courses, or those who are at an intermediate level. This course will help to develop and refine your drawing skills, through building on technique, experimenting with materials and looking into artists’ drawings. Inspiration will be found in a wide range of subjects, using a variety of media such as pencil, charcoal, coloured pencil, pastel, pen and ink and collage. The sessions will include group discussions, practical exercises, tutor demonstrations and presentations, and individual tutoring.

Throughout the course your own growth, creativity and confidence will develop week by week. Projects will be set by your tutor with the option to expand on these at home if you wish to continue after the class ends. Emphasis will be more on the development of technique than the production of a “finished” drawing, although, any completed drawings

are a bonus! Your newfound knowledge will help to further develop your skills and personal style long after the course has finished.

This is a relaxed and friendly course held in an encouraging and supportive environment. A hot drink and all materials are included in the cost. If you have your own materials that you would like to use, you are also welcome to bring these with you.
