Art Club for Adults: Mixed Media One Day Workshop

Enjoy a day of creativity discovering the playful charms of making Mixed Media art. Whether you are new to this art form or have some experience, the workshop is a fun and creative way to develop your artistic skills. Debbie will guide you step by step and support you in making your own unique piece of art to take home at the end of the day.

The day covers:

Gaining Inspiration: We will look at a variety of images to gather inspiration for your Mixed Media artwork, through different artists' work and found images.

Learning Techniques: You will be shown how to layer images and media through play and experimentation with papers, maps, fabric and photographs, paint, stenciling and stamping, using various items including repurposed and natural objects. To add texture and dimension to your artwork you will discover how to use different mediums including gesso and modelling paste.

Design: The day also covers composition, layout, focal points, texture, colour and balance to help you create your one-of-a-kind creation.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for both beginners and people with more experience that are looking to develop their skills in relaxed and friendly environment.

What’s included in the price?

All materials are included. Tea and coffee are provided. Please bring lunch with you.

Aprons are provided, although you may wish to wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
